CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN A PSYCHOLOGIST AND A POET: THE HEALING POWER
OF LANGUAGE.
Robert Romanyshyn, psychologist and Jungian psychotherapist, and poet Brian Michael Tracy will be engaging in conversation about the relationship between poetry and psychology.
Topics include: how does each discipline approach imagery? What is the role of negative capability (i.e., ambiguity) in the making and un-making of meaning? And, what does it mean to possess a "poetic sensibility" and how might it apply to our everyday lives?
Each author will read a few poems from their latest work, engage in conversation, and answer questions from the audience. Audience participation is encouraged.
