Allan Schore’s East Bay study group is an unparalleled opportunity to study on the frontiers of our knowledge about attachment, brain development and the nature of psychotherapy with the neuroscientist who is in the forefront of integrating these fields. Although this is an ongoing group that meets quarterly, you can also attend any individual session and receive CEU’s for that meeting.

The 3-1/2 hour meetings are organized around readings distributed in advance through email attachments sent to participants. These articles represent breaking news in the field. These are frequently articles that have been published in the last few months or even review copies of articles not yet published. At other times Dr. Schore presents a recent article or talk he has given representing the next stage in his synthesis of these ideas.

Participation in the group includes access to the ongoing, on-line discussion/networking group that links Dr. Schore's study groups around the country, and access to Dr. Schore's website with hundreds of his own and other researchers’ most recent work. The varied experience and disciplines of the group members contribute to the dialogue with Dr. Schore.

The final meeting of 2015, December 5, is open to new participants. This group will discuss recent articles on borderline and narcissistic disorders, including treatment. The discussion will focus on chapters from Dan Hill's new Norton book “Affect Regulation Theory: A Clinical Model." The readings will be emailed to people who registered for the class. Dr. Schore will also discuss his trip to the Rome Conference on  personality disorders, attended by 1,300 people from 35 countries, where he presented his lecture on creativity.
