Discussion group to explore Jungian concepts, especially focusing on the book, Ego and Archetype: Individuation and the Religious Function of the Psyche  by Edward Edinger. This four week group will seek to both understand and apply Edinger’s and Jung’s theories to our own lives.  Deep questions and optional exercises will be offered between sessions to help us engage this material.  Sharing personal stories and reflections will be encouraged.   Participants can join in the discussion using a microphone and camera or the chat box.

This book is about the individual's journey to psychological wholeness through an encounter with the Self.  Edinger traces the stages in this process found in myths, dreams, art and religious symbols. For Edinger, to make contact with the Self is to make contact with God.

Edinger has written a provocative book which is a lucid survey and synthesis of Jung's psychological concepts based on a fascinating mix of mythic tales. A penetrating attempt to show the reader the archetypal images of God that reside in his unconscious." ~Publishers Weekly
