ABOUT DR. JENNIFER SELIG

Jennifer Leigh Selig, Ph.D., joined Pacifica's faculty in 2005, and has served in multiple capacities: as core faculty, Research Coordinator, and Chair of the Depth Psychology program; as teaching faculty in the Clinical, Depth Psychotherapy, and Engaged Humanities programs; and most currently as Academic Director of Hybrid Programs. In addition to her vocation of teaching, her avocation includes photography and writing (non-fiction and screenplays). Her screenplay Mary placed in the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship, sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and her screenplay One Good Man won first place in the Broad Humor Film Festival for Best Ensemble Comedy. Her books include Thinking Outside the Church: 110 Ways to Connect With Your Spiritual NatureReimagining Education: Essays on Retrieving the Soul of LearningThe Soul Does Not Specialize: Revaluing the Humanities and the Polyvalent Imagination which she co-edited with Dr. Dennis Slattery, a Mythological Studies professor at Pacifica; andIntegration: The Psychology and Mythology of Martin Luther King, Jr. and His (Unfinished) Therapy With the Soul of America.
