Join us for a discussion based on the upcoming Conference,  "The Spiritual Mandates of an Inspired Life" in Assisi, Italy July 10th - 17th, 2012

Author Joseph Conrad writes:  "The artist appeals to that part of our being...which is a gift and not an acquisition-and, therefore, more permanently enduring."

On Tuesday, April 10th, we dip our toe into the vast ocean of this wisdom and talk about what will be the focus of our upcoming July conference in Assisi, Italy: "TheSpiritual Mandates of An Inspired Life."

Since the beginning of time, humankind has struggled not only to survive, but also to bring theinner gifting of inspiration to the outer world.  Fromthe paleolithic art discovered in over 350 caves in France and Spain, to the urban graffiti scrawled on contemporary public architecture, to the images and symbols contained in our dreams and thecollective unconscious; the creative muse, the gift of inspiration, demands that we give it expression in our own individual lives as well as in the collective world.   It is this inner gift, unique to each of us, which brings both beauty and meaning as well as struggle and torment into our lives, as we seek to give it expression in a contemporary culture whose rhythm and values often work against what is necessary for our inner giftings to flourish and thrive.

Loralee headshot 2In this 60 minute conversation, Michael and Loralee Conforti will share some of the deep themes and directions which will be explored from an in-depth and interdisciplinary perspective inthe Assisi Institute's upcoming Conference: "TheSpiritual Mandates of an Inspired Life."  Speaking from their combined perspectives in Jungian psychologytheology, and the arts, they will introduce some of the deep questions which will be explored in the July Conference in beautiful Assisi, Italy.
