This workshop follows the ancient myth of the Sumerian goddess Innana’s initiatory descent to the underworld to return as One Who Is Whole In Herself.

Traditionally, initiation into new phases of life has involved a process of separation, ordeal and homecoming in which all three components are ritually contained and supported, and the transformations that occur in the initiate are welcomed in community.

Using the archetypal pattern of initiation in Innana’s story, this workshop provides support and homecoming, to aid us in our own life experiences of separation and ordeal — accessing and expressing the healing and creative gifts of the deep psyche. Through story, art-making, expressive movement and ritual, we journey with Innana into the terrain of the archetypal feminine and her creative fire and healing waters on our way to being more deeply at home in ourselves.

  • I just attended Rebecca's workshop/presentation at JSSS (Jungian Society for Scholarly Studies) in New Orleans this past week and can honestly say what a lovely, knowledgable, and authentic teacher she is. If you can make this upcoming event with Rebecca on Sept 15, I highly recommend you do it!
