POETRY CONTEST
All registrants for the April 2015 3-webinar series, “Conversations between a Psychologist and a Poet” with Robert Romanyshyn, psychologist and Jungian psychotherapist, and poet Brian Michael Tracy are invited to share your work inspired by the conversations with Robert and Brian in April. All submissions to be read and judged by Brian Michael Tracy and Robert Romanyshyn.
Prizes
• Winner will receive a signed copy of Robert’s book Leaning Toward the Poet and a signed CD of music and poetry from Brian
• The winning poem will be featured in the next issue of Depth Insights scholarly eZine
Winner will be notified and winner announced through Depth Psychology Alliance and Depth Insights web sites and/or social media (Twitter, Facebook) no later than June 15, 2015.
ABOUT THE JUDGES/PRESENTERS
Robert Romanyshyn is the author of seven books, most recently Leaning Toward the Poet: Eavesdropping on the Poetry of Everyday Life. He has published more than forty articles in psychology, philosophy, and education journals and his poems have appeared in several on-line and print magazines. He is presently Emeritus Professor at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA. He is currently working on a play, The Frankenstein Prophecies. Visit Robert's web site here.
Brian Michael Tracy is the author of three books of poetry, most recently Opaque Traveler: A Dream Sequence in Verse and two CD’s of poetry and music: Midnight Tea and Blackbird Ballads. His work has appeared in The Wallace Stevens Journal, Plainsongs, California Quarterly, Depth Insights, and on spoken word radio programs throughout the United States and Canada including stations KPFK in Los Angeles and CIUT in Toronto. In this live video webinar series, “Conversations between a Psychologist and a Poet," Robert Romanyshyn, psychologist and Jungian psychotherapist, and poet Brian Michael Tracy engage in an important conversation about “The Healing Power of Language." Moderated by Bonnie Bright, founder of Depth Psychology Alliance and editor/host of Depth Insights, Robert and Brian will explore what happens to hearts, minds, and souls in the space where these two amazing disciplines come together. What are the implications for connectivity, creativity, and healing? Come explore with us!
