SPA CULTURES & DREAM TIME
Get more Sleep, Do more Dreaming
Integrating Spa, Wellness, Sleep & Health into your Life
Exploring DREAMS and “Taking-the-Waters”
Sunday, June 23 - Friday, June 28, 2013
Ancient cultures including the Sumerians, Egyptians, Greeks, Celts and Romans as well as indigenous peoples from around the planet have traditionally combined their sleeping & dreaming with travels and visits to natural springs, wells, pools and spas.
Bad Orb, a historic spa town nestled in the fairytale forests of central Germany near the childhood home of the Brothers Grimm, is such a location.
Here, the naturally regenerative atmosphere and environment of rest & relaxation integrated with “Taking-the-Waters” serves to enhance sleep and nurture dreaming.
“The spa culture at Bad Orb moves into deeper dimensions where individuals can reflect upon and look further into their own personal, social and cultural unconscious, safely. An exploration and experience of this nature can help to reveal not only how a person’s dreams relate to themselves, but also to the larger world and planet.” So says Professor Jonathan Paul De Vierville, Ph.D., a Jungian psychotherapist, Spa Director and well-known spa historian, who hosts: SPA CULTURES & DREAM TIME, a creative and experiential seminar of Deep Sleep & Big Dreams offering the right space and time for incubating dreams, finding keys and opening doors.
In this small seminar (limit 12) we explore our Dream Stories, Fairy Tales, Cultural Myths and Universal Patterns as they are reflected in our depth psychology of Well-Being. We also explore the ancient history and lengthy legacy as well as contemporary and avant-garde Spa Cultures.
After wooded walks along Europe’s longest barefoot hiking path and stream fed pools, we float and flow in the world famous Liquid Sound Temple and social geo-thermal pools & baths. One afternoon we visit a museum of the Brothers Grimm, who over two-hundred years ago first published their famous collections of Fairy Tales like Cinderella or Little Red Riding Hood.
Most of all we learn how to move and eat, soak and share, sleep and dream in the Spa Waters and Spa Culture at Bad Orb, where we...
GET MORE SLEEP;
DO MORE DREAMING...&
TELL MORE TALES, because
Our HEALTH and WELL-BEING OF SELF & SOUL depend upon it.
