It is with honor and elation that the Mythological RoundTable® group of Ojai, CA invites you to our next gathering, Sunday September 13th at 5PM in The Ojai Foundation Council House, with Deborah Conway de Prieto, PhD. Her talk, The Dream as Dream Text: Sor Juana as Creature of Fiction or Creature of Reality, engages “nocturnal consciousness” through the poem, “El Sueño” (The Dream), written by Sor Juana, a woman who argued for emancipatory education during a time when a culture of silence repressed voices through intimidation and oppression–especially women’s voices.”
