A two day workshop at Grace Cathedral that will explore the Transcendent Function. Using the idea of the "road not taken" being the gate to the numinous, we'll explore the lives of Hildegard of Bingen, St Francis of Assisi, Teresa of Avila and Brother Roger of Taize while also encountering our own capacities for thinking, feeling, sensing and intuition through music, movement, art and dreamwork- all connected together through rituals at the Chartres style labyrinth amidst the glories of Grace Cathedral's stunning gothic architecture and stained glass windows. Included in the pilgrimage are dinners and two private candlelit labyrinth walks with live music in a feast for both the senses and the spirit. Led by the Rev. Dr. Lauren Artress, author of Walking a Sacred Path, and Kayleen Asbo, mythologist and lecturer on psychology at Sonoma State University.
As to fixing your postings, Bonnie knows more about that than I. Technology is a labrynth that I have only just entered and my level of patience is the first focus of my meditation. :) As to the summer vacation, I already have realized I have a nephew in San Fran that, I'm sure, misses his uncle desperately!!!
Yes, the only one of my favorite mystics that is missing is Julian of Norwich- but I get to spend time with her every week in the study group I lead on Revelations of Divine Love. Unfortunately, there is a mistake- the date is August 26-27, but I can't figure out how to fix it on the postings. Any chance of a summer vacation in the wonderful Bay Area?
Well Kayleen, you have mentioned all of my favorites: Hildegard, Francis and Clare, Teresa, and the labrynth (built one myself) and constriucted one using the imagery from Teresa. I have heard Dr. Artress at conferences as well. Now if I could only find a way to live in CA!!!
