Made what I thought was a terrific find of this article from the C.G. Jung Society by Edward Whitmont, a founding member of the International Association for Analytical Psychology and the C. G. Jung Institute of New York. I find his book, The Symbolic Quest, remarkably insightful. It was, by the way, one of the first tomes documenting the application of Jung's teachings to the practice of psychotherapy. Whitmont actually knew Jung and they corresponded regularly.

Here is the article: The Destiny Concept in Psychotherapy which looks at trauma and pathology as agents for individuation and, therefore, destiny in the life of an individual. Would love to know what you think....

  • Perfect timing, Bonnie.  I'm on planes later this week and this piece will help me use my downtime wisely.  Also, have responded to the questionnaire regarding the conference.  Would be delighted to help with organizing or planning or anything at all.  I've been away for a while putting my practice together and have missed engaging with you and others.  So if there's anything I can contribute to the conference just let me know.  Dennis P
