i was snagged by a paragraph in one of the readings about complexity and have parsed it out for my work situation. it has given me some great insight, especially about the tension of forces (attractors) at work. now to think about how mythology applies directly to this ... my parsing-out exercise is in the attached file.

I like this chart--great application to a specific situation.
When I think of overregulated, fragile, rigid institutions undergoing stress, I think of two archetypes in particular: Chaos and Trickster. They both break things apart so visions of some new mythic structure can rise in the rupture. No predicting in advance what that will be, but its images often show up in dreams and even symptoms.
