The LightDNA Boys from the Blue-Green Galaxy” : New Myth #49

“How to price a promise? How to refuse a gift?” – WOX

 * * * * * * *

In a bright, blue-green galaxy many, many LightDNAs from Earth, an eco- systems hums with equality for all and sharing is the key. Here love and respect drives all decisions and advanced energy keeps all warm and free.

On Earth, humankind remains in peril. Green houses gases; corporate greed, food toxics and many other life threatening issues have created a crossroads for survival.

The blue-green galaxy has a long, long timeline to support the evolution of life on Earth. Many there see the threats taking over the promise. Technologists from the blue-green galaxy (BGG) have been sending Earthlings gifts for eons including fire, the pyramids, sacred plants and recipes for smart homes and health. They diverted the implementation of the Internet from a tool for war making to public uses. HTML was sent as a new language to compliment the many national languages.

Then they sent human LightDNA and created Gates and Jobs. These men received visions from the galaxy including a primitive computer operating system, personal computers and smart phones. BGG’s big goal is to help humans find each and explore their common problems and visions.

As Gates and Jobs grew, they competed in the financial markets, and later became friends. Both understood the miracle and magic in software, the machine code “behind the screen.” MDOS begat Windows and soon HTML three flourished. To these men, it was all about operating systems and applications. And money.

The blue-green galaxy and their LightDNA alchemy created a new chance to get beyond the profit margins and uplift the earth to a new consciousness. Some would say for advanced communication channels for spiritual, technological, commercial, and mythological synergies.

But are Gates and Jobs gods? Angels? Thieves? Certainly both are examples of the universal quest for individualization and innovation in human beings, parallel to struggles that Joseph Campbell wrote about. Both created opportunities for humanity to change on a mass scale. Has their opportunity been realized?

At BGG, LightBeings are always discussing the negative impact of so much technology gone very wrong:

  • Humans crashing autos while texting
  • Theft of smart phones
  • Computer viruses
  • Hacking software
  • Stealing computer systems for evil purposes
  • Illegal downloading
  • Illegal dumping of computer hardware on 3rd world countries
  • Pornography on the Internet

Gates and Jobs: are they Heroes like Prometheus? Or just wily profit takers, dangling cosmic gifts that might raise our collective consciousness?

“Our first projects, like bringing the Internet to public libraries, sprang from our founders’ Microsoft experience. But in the 1990s, Bill and Melinda learned about millions of children who needed simple medical treatments. With an expanded focus, we sought out and supported groups who were saving lives around the world.”
India both traumatized Steve Jobs and changed his life. He returned to Atari a Buddhist, and a more focused and hardened individual. Did he find in India the steel that was to allow him to survive an ouster from the company he founded and then to return and rise to unexpected heights? After returning to Atari, Jobs’ rekindled his friendship with high school mate Steve Wozniak who was working at Hewlett-Packard then. Together, the two Steves launched a startup called Apple Computer from Jobs’ garage in Palo Alto, California. It’s hard to say if India’s less than favored status with Apple can be attributed to Steve Jobs’ early experience with the country. But it is definitely true that it was then that the foundations were laid for the titanic, perfection-obsessed, often ruthless personality he was to become later.

Myth Lab # 8

This interactive workshop begins with a neighborhood artifact (Nature video, graffiti or short story) and considers permaculture, Transition, Nature and alchemy elements to produce a New Myth!

You can also check-out all 49 New Myths.

artifact

The Artifact is the base information that initiated the created process in the first place.  For Myth Lab #49, we drive this emergence with a South San Francisco Mural about Prometheus by Nicolai Larsen

By transmutating the artifact, we integrated permaculture, Transition, Nature and alchemy with the struggles in the Chaos Age to produce  New Myth #49. Myth Lab is designed as an interactive, open source and iterative experience. One goal is clear: we need to build our own messages and new myths to support our new food and governance systems.

Key Terms:

Process Model – See below. The five stages in writing new myths are: Discovery; Analyze; Mythic Imprintation; create the new myth; and Sharing and Journey On.

Artifact The Imprintable Artifact is a Nature-Human combination; examples include graffiti, a bill board, historic sculpture, and a permaculture garden, with special powers and messages to the neighborhood.

Mythos – The pattern of basic values and attitudes of a people characteristically transmitted through myths and the arts.

New Mythology – Is a call for new Nature-based, globally integrated stories without allegiance to any classic mythologies. New Mythology incorporates new symbols, new alchemy and climate change era rituals and is built for the future.

The Transition Movement includes new business exchange schemes where waste is used by another business; Transition is garden sharing that allows gardeners to re-use barren lands; the movement encourages people to choose local food and offer support for smart bicycle and mass transit systems.

Mythic Imprinting – Imprinting is defined as a two-way interaction with a selected Artifact that has generates synergistic meaning for both participants and the Artifact. Called “mythic imprinting” in the Myth Lab, this iterative and transmutative process is grounded in the initiation, journey and hero work from Joseph Campbell and is one way that neighborhood artifacts can help neighbors generate new songs, poems and myths.

8 Key Elements in New Mythology:

1. Localization – back to sustainability and community; self-sufficiency

2. Nature- Centric

3. Spiritual

4. Future-based

5. Universal themes(s) and message

6. Para-Normal in conflict or characters

7. Initiation, Journey and Hero

8. Permaculture & Transition: values and principles

2. Analyze

Brainstorm 1 -

  • Old Myth?
  • How did this come to be? Why?
  • Where did he get it?
  • What is this lesson?
  • What is the new context?
  • Is Prometheus now the “stealer trickster” of technology age?
  • Or is he bringing something else to use now?
  • New Mythology here?
  • What are the old and new interpretations for the community?
  • Evidence of graffiti
  • Distinct transformation in the two heros – one is a slave , one is a free man
  • Look at the second’s eyes
  • Paradigm Shift here and the “swirling galaxy”

3.  Mythic Imprintation

Brainstorm 2 -

Bill Gates & Steve Jobs (“Innovators”) give computer technology to humankind  –  Need a new mural!?

  • Are they gods? Thieves?
  • What is the source of their gifts?
  • Journey
  • Universal quest for individualization and innovation
  • Imitation
  • Created opportunity for change on a mass scale
  • Has this opportunity been squandered?
  • Heroes
  • Sharing gifts
  • Bring collective consciousness up
  • Profit takers
  • Use sweat shop labor
  • Under Highway Overpass – San Diego
  • Swirling galaxy of Light?
  • Former competitors
  • Innovation, drive, merged as friends
  • What is this galaxy-born, alchemic swirl from the mural?
  • “Prometheus, Gates, Jobs and the Galaxy Swirl” : New Myth #49, Myth Lab #8
  • Multiple channels: spiritual, technological, commercial, mythological
  • Swirly galaxy is like a satellite. Transmuting info to and from other stars

4. Create the New Myth

  • "Has this opportunity been squandered?" - As long as it still exists, it isn't. They have allowed both the New Economy (networks and interactions from unexpected places) to be conceived (though there are still chances for it to be a stillborn) and the Old Economy to show its even more perverted face (young billionaires (the newest definition of the life worth living) and spies (corporations and all kinds of parasites) not allowing to the rest of 7 billion of us to do something creative and unexpected (unless it brings them more control and "power")).
