Interesting video. I remember being interviewed for seminary admissions and at no time did anyone ask if I had any religious or spiritual experiences in my life. It was all academic and past church experience. Sheldrake, I believe, is kind to say that the modern institutional religions continue the shamanic story of their originators, but not that accurate if mystical experience and a closeness to nature was what was supposed to be passed on.
