  • My path meandered through psychology and comparative religion and now I am both a pastor and a marriage and family therapist. Although still a pastor, the nature of the faith is too confining and, like Jung, I agree that its images are no longer salvific for soul and psyche. While seeking a program that would bring psychology and religion together, I discovered Jung and found both a language and perspective that honored both without forcing a choice between the two. I am more mystic than theological and so the draw to depth psychology was painless. I had studied the external systemics of human life and was now ready to delve into the interior systems. My current interest is in theatre as an alchemical alembic for the actor and society (my tentative dissertation focus). I've only recently been interested in the corporate world in that its image has become iconic in other aspects of human life. I led a workshop for non-profits called "Discerning and Protecting the Soul of an Organization."  It was well received yet it was shared with those who were still new to the language, much less the way in which the language could inform the daily interactions within the non-profits. Well, maybe I planted a seed that someone else will come along and water.

I would enjoy our continued sharing.

  • Welcome Alessandra,

Glad you have found us and hope your candidacy with Zurich progresses. I see you have training in another field of psychology. What was that field? I believe you will find much in the blogs, forums, and groups to spark your interests, and, hopefully, your posts. I look forward to your sharing.
