No

Are you a licensed or clinical therapist?

No

Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?

I am interested in "Terra-psychology" (Chalquist) as a practitioner in place-based community dialogue, a facilitator of community visioning processes, and a community leader experiencing a call to "befriend the soul of place." I am working on a book on this topic which makes reference to Hillman and Chalquist as the source of useful insights about the "soul of place." I am trying to carry them outside the field of psychology, into the context of community dialogue, community visioning, and community development.

Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?

No. I'm a member of the National Coalition of Dialogue and Deliberation.

If you have a Twitter, Facebook, Blog, or LinkedIn account and would like to have people "follow" you, list it here

  • Hi Alice. Greetings, and (a somewhat belated) welcome to the online depth psychology community. Sorry for being slow to reach out, but I'm glad you've found us.

As you may know, we currently have over 2600 members from all over the world. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

We recommend that to get started, you personalize your profile photo by going to your "My page" and rolling your cursor over the default C.G. Jung image. That will give you the option to switch it out. As well, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.

I'm also so glad to hear about your interest in Craig's work. I'm sure you'll be attending the upcoming webinar, “Mythic Activism”, and you may want to check out the September online Book Club, Isis Code with Ariane Page as well. Too, you can weigh in on this week’s Depth Discussion on Jung’s view of solving ....

In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link---- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site----and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community. ~Bonnie Bright, Founder
