"Across the road from St Pauls Cathedral in London is a bronze statue of St Micheal in battle with a dragon.
As I was gaping at the bute image, an English man stopped and commented that they had been in battle like that for the last 300 years.

  • Greetings Amanda and a very warm welcome to the online depth psychology community. It's great to see you here! This is an exciting time for the Depth Psychology Alliance, as we are expanding and adding many features to this forum.

As you may know, we now are made up of over 4,200 members from all over the world. I hope that as you have explored the community you have noticed what a dynamic group of like-minded people are here, all who are deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from all walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

Bravo for already settling in and personalizing your profile image.

If you haven't discovered this already, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. Please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to another member's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.

Here are a few quick links to front page items that may be of interest to you. The Multimedia Library contains talks, videos and articles that may be of interest to you. The Depth Insights e-zine has articles, poetry, and images from past issues. And, then we have the Events page which contains calls for papers, upcoming conferences, and workshops. There is a book group discussion of "On the Doorstep of the Castle,"by Elizabeth Cark-Stern, running through the end of the month you can still join.

Here's a link to help you navigate the site for your convenience. I look forward to seeing your posts and comments around the various forums.

And finally, fellow board member Donna May and I will be hosting an online Deep Meet and Greet to welcome you and other new members to the Alliance. It would be great to see  you you there and get to know you a bit more at that time. The next Deep Meet n Greet is set for Thursday, November 5 at 5PM PDT. You should RSVP for the event here if you think you can make it. In the meantime, I look forward to seeing you around the boards & please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

  • Hi Amanda, welcome to the Alliance and to some of our groups! I hope you'll consider sharing a dream (The Twilight Zone) or an experience that has a particularly numinous quality to it (Encountering the Numinous)!

  • Education Institution

Great to "meet" you on the latest Meet & Greet Forum, Amanda.  I spent some time at Brigham Young, back in 1988, as a entomology researcher with a Dr. Armand Whitehead.  He and his spouse were marvellous -- and so I now believe all those from SLC are just as wonderful!  Many blessings to you from Aotearoa, Alan MacKenzie

  • Good morning Amanda, glad you found us and I noticed you are in two groups I also belong to.  It is hard to believe it, but I joined in 2012 searching for people interested in depth conversation, core healing of NDE + traumatic bereavements.  I look forward to our participation within the DPA community, especially participation within our groups.       Peace + Love Linda

Projections change the world into the replica of one’s own unknown face.”
– C.G. Jung

Projections are images we have of others, which are generated by the psyche and based in our own fears, desires, impulses, and unresolved issues, most of which are unconscious.…
