I have been interested in Depth Psychology for some time, especially since I have devoured Jung and James Hillman for many years. I am interested in the way depth psychology is compatible with other eastern forms of psychology. I hope to learn more about the aspects of depth psychology and look forward to the insights from the group which will certainly aid my personal development as well as professional goals.

Hello Beth. I'd like to add my welcome to Ed's.
I hope as you explore the community a bit you are finding a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

Welcome Beth,
Glad you found and decided to join the Alliance. Your African literature work intrigues me as I have often wondered about the archetypal in other cultures. I recognize that some, at least on surface examination, appear to be the same as the Western world's images but I can't help but wonder about the nuances associated by non-Western cultures. I look forward to your posts and hope you have found much to your interests among the many blogs, forums, book studies, interviews, etc.
