Hello, my name is Brianna Young. I’m a multidisciplinary fine artist whose work explores the intersection between creativity, psychology, and the unconscious. My recent video project Unus Mundus embodies this exploration, it’s a visual and sonic meditation on shadow work, mirroring, and the process of inner integration. In the film, I physically enact the tension of opposites through performance and painting, allowing movement, color, and sound to become pathways to transformation.
I’ve been deeply influenced by Jung’s ideas for many years — especially his emphasis on individuation, dreams, and the symbolic language of the psyche. I’m drawn to Depth Psychology because it provides a framework for understanding art not just as expression, but as a vessel for healing and dialogue with the unconscious, both personal and collective.
Through this community, I’m hoping to connect with others who are working at this intersection of art and psyche: people interested in Jungian Arts-Based Research, symbolic creation, and the role of imagination in collective healing. I see art as a means of integration, a way to bring light to the hidden and restore balance in ourselves and the world.
