  • Thanks Diane, for the offered conversation. I feel like I need to take a 101 class at least before I can even use the correct language. Is there a text/website/etc. that you could point me towards?

  • Hi Diane. Welcome to the Alliance--and sorry to give you stress over the long form :). So glad to hear you've done the Pattern Analysis certification--which means you know Michael Conforti. He's such a wonderful persona and a great supporter. I'm currently in both the Dream Patterning and the Pattern Analysis programs.

Hopefully, once you have a chance to explore the Alliance a bit, I think you'll find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all deeply drawn to the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinicians here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

On that note, I hope you're finding opportunities to engage as you browse the vast content and interact with others. You may want to consider joining the online book club if you haven’t already—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. Even if you don't have the book for this month, you can read all the comments that have gone on so far and get a feel for the story--or Feb. 1 will bring a wonderful new book from Jungian Analyst Erel Shalit as well as a special online study group on Astrology.

  • Welcome Diane,

Glad you found and decided to join the Alliance. There are a number of LCSWs within the Alliance membership. I would love to hear how you combine, if you do, your LCSW training and your archetypal analyst training. With a few folks who joined earlier, it seemed as if institutions are not open to such "language" but practitioners find ways of telling the same client's story using institutionally correct language. Or, their interest in depth psychology is personal and does not make it into the office. How have you found the intersection? I look forward to your posts.

    Ed
