  • Truly appreciate your response and, maybe sorry to say for you, this did not end my questions!! :)

So where to begin.......altered states of consciousness and clinical psychology...yeah, that's it.

I remember my first breathwork weekend...the images still have an effect on my life, both personally and professionally. And even better, I didn't need to care about being arrested for breathing! My question to you is how to balance the gifts brought to the table by clinical psychology with the gifts offered by altered states of conscious (as a good thing!) and other perspectives rising out of schools of thought focused upon the unconscious? This has been a question I have started ro research in earnest as I approach my dissertation concept paper. If it isn't the focus, maybe my second book. :)

  • Welcome Lee-Anne,

What other field of psychology do you hold your PhD? (or MD?) How does it correspond with your interest/practice with holotropic breathwork and other altered states of consciousness? So many questions!!! :)  Hope you find much of interest within the Alliance and I hope to read your posts soon.
