I am exploring the wilderness of Eros, particularly Dark Eros or Fetish or Kink driven Eros, most of which lies buried in the unconscious in a landscape that holds a pantheon of archetypal pairs (Master/slave, parent/child, rapist victim, teacher/student, predator/prey). My intention is to provide a framework for the empowering and healing aspects of embracing the truth in these regards. I work with women, men and couples, employing imaginal techniques such as ritual, myth, ceremony symbol, embodiment and more, to help others untangle their authentic erotic desires(Personal Erotic Myth) from all the embedded, internalized, unconscious cultural, parental, peer, spouse, moral and religious parts of them that mildly to violently judge, condemn or resist their true desire. I help adults resolve sexual trauma and embrace their authentic desire in a mature, conscious foundation. Learn more at my Conscious Kink Blog ... http://dakadom.com

Hi Galen. Happy new year. I'd like to add my welcome to Ed's.
I hope you've had a chance to explore the site a bit--and that you've found a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all fascinated by the field of depth psychology. While there are quite a number of certified psychologists and analysts here, it's actually a very interdisicplinary community. Many of our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much knowledge and experience here to be shared. I appreciate your body of work (so to speak!) and encourage you to engender discussion on the topic wherever you can.
On that note, there are also many opportunities to engage as you begin browsing the vast content and interacting with others--all depending on what level of time investment you choose to make based on your current situation. You may want to consider joining the new online book club if you haven’t already—you can jump in anytime (there will be a new author each month)—and you can participate at whatever level you wish. The January book is available as a download for $.99 or even free!
Meanwhile, it looks like you're doing just fine, but in case you need detailed help navigating the site, please use the following link-- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site --and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder
Welcome Galen,
Glad you found and decided to join the Alliance. I am also glad to see that you have directly addressed one of the largest social complexes in the West - sex and sexuality. A few days ago I glanced at the magazine rack at a local drug store and saw two magazines side by side, wish I had my camera. The Time cover read : "Sex Addictions" with some subtitle that implied it was a bigger problem than general society knows. Next to it was a magazine I associate with a largely female readership with its cover inviting folks to read about the many kinky things a woman could bring to the bedroom. My immediate response was to wish I was a fly on the wall to see who bought which magazine or both at the same time. Fascinating website that I will visit again.
