Welcome Gary,
Always glad to see another person from the South joining the Alliance. There is a Jung in the South group that you may find interesting as a place to meet folks closer in your area. There are also many blogs, forums, and groups about different topics so I believe you will find much to your interests. I look forward to your posts.

Thanks so much for your support, Gary, and for engaging right away. I admit, sometimes I get lost in the nitty gritty details but as a general rule, I feel the spirit of this 'place' is simply manifesting itself! I appreciate your perspective and look forward to your contributions to the community!
Hi Gary. Welcome to the Alliance. So glad you've found us. I love what you said about applying Jungian principles--and I'm tempted to add that I also apply them in invocation. There's much to engage with in that space to be sure!
I think as you begin to immerse yourself in the community, you will find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like. You can also post a few paragraphs of your own blog in the Blogs section and put a link so people can go to your site and read the rest.
Also, you may want to consider joining the online book club—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. Even if you don't have the book for this month, you can order it from Assisi Institute now and have it within a couple of days.
The Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, so you can read all the comments that have gone on so far (including past authors in January and February!) and get a feel for what's happening. As you may know, in March, we are featuring a wonderful book from Jungian Analyst Dr. Michael Conforti, a specialist in archetypes and new sciences, "Field, Form, And Fate: Patterns in Mind, Nature, and Psyche." April will bring a whole new topic: "Eros and the Shattering Gaze: Transcending Narcissism" with Ken Kimmel.
In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link-- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site--and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright
