Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
I am personally curious. I would enjoy increased awareness of the spiritual dimensions of life, myself, and others. I am also curious as to how I may incorporate this into my clinical work. Working with incarcerated chronic pain patients with limited resources and very circumscribed treatment options, I believe adding a creative depth piece that allows and encourages them to explore themselves and their experience of pain in particular, as part of their lives would be a welcome addition.
Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?
CPA, APA, APA Div of Psych of Religion and Spirituality, APA Div of Independent Practice

Hi Jennifer. Happy new year, and a somewhat belated welcome to the online depth community! Glad you've joined us. Someone close to me is doing a PhD at Fielding so I'm somewhat familiar with the organization. They seem to have some excellent programs.
I hope you've had a chance to explore the Alliance a bit--and that you've found a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all fascinated by the field of depth psychology. While there are quite a number of certified psychologists and analysts here, it's actually a very interdisicplinary community--not all of whom have experience in depth psychology. Many of our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, there are also many opportunities to engage as you begin browsing the vast content and interacting with others--all depending on what level of time investment you choose to make based on your current situation. You may want to consider joining the new online book club if you haven’t already—you can jump in anytime (there will be a new author each month)—and you can participate at whatever level you wish. The January book is available as a download for $.99 or even free!
Meanwhile, in case you need detailed help getting started, personalizing your profile photo, and navigating the site, please use the following link-- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site --and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder
Welcome Jennifer,
First, I am intrigued by the specific focus of your work with incarcerated chronic pain patients. This is a new image for me, though all such new images also have an "of course!" aspect to them. Pain and suffering would seem to dovetail nicely but not neatly into both psychology and religion/spirituality. I would enjoy hearing more about your work. I also hope you will find much of interest in the many blogs, forums, and groups.
By the way, "I will have little to offer." As they say around here, "Oh, please!" :)
