Are you a licensed or clinical therapist?

I am currently an unlicensed therapist-in-training working with clients under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist.

Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?

I am now starting my 4th yr. of doctoral training but have not had any classroom instruction on depth psychology, nor a supervisor who could model and engage in analytical thinking with me up to this point. I am thankful for the Internet, as it is where I was first exposed to Jung and continue to engage with other like-minded individuals. My main hope in joining this community is thus the opportunity to learn in a way not available to me in my mandated training. I am drawn to depth psychology due to its engagement with familial and cultural influences, and its acknowledgement of the sacred. I have now been in Jungian/ psychodynamically-oriented psychotherapy since April, and have learned more about myself in this short time than I had in previous years of other-oriented therapy combined. I am an artist, an idealist, and an intuitive; it would be a great blessing to join your community.

Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?
