My Facebook tagline reads "I'm a citizen of Planet Earth." My life is actually quite well-grounded in both Iowa and Arizona. But I do spend a lot of time in the air getting from one…"

  • The phrase "primal locations" captured my interest. Primal homes. Quotes such as "You can never go home again." and "Home is where the heart is." seems to say that we haven't quite nailed down the concept of home, its characteristics, and constellations. I'm also fascinated when someone, myself included, steps into a totally new space and suddenly "feels at home." Having moved quite a bit in my life, I've often been stuck when someone asks, "Where is home to you?"

As to primal home and transportation - we were hunter/gatherers before we planted those seeds. It seems we are at an interesting space where the ease of transporting one's "home" for work is countered with the increased ability to "work from home." The later appears to be winning the day. Could this be all a part of an unconscious desire to find a place, settle down, and call it home?

  • Welcome Margaret,

When you listed where you are located I had a vision of a house in the air floating between Iowa and Arizona. :) Glad you found and joined the Alliance. The membership ranges from scholars steeped in depth psychological thought to novices in the Jungian/archetypal perspective. I believe you will find something of interest in the many blogs, forums, and groups. I look forward to your posts.

    Ed
