  • Welcome Martha,

Glad you joined the Alliance and my apologies for such a late welcome. I like to get away from screens from time to time but it gets me increasingly behind in my labors of love. I am fascinated by the approach you mentioned, Calatonia. I would enjoy hearing more in that you mention the focus on toes and feet as a portal to the unconscious. There are many topics within the Alliance so i hope you will find much to your interests. I look forward to your posts.

  • Hi Martha. Welcome to the Alliance. It's great to have you with us in our growing global community!

Once you have a chance to explore the site a bit, I think you'll find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. Some simple ideas to get your feet wet are to introduce yourself in the forum; asking a question, or responding to someone else's post; or sharing a link to an article or web site you like.

You may want to consider joining the online book club if you haven’t already (so many have joined the past day or two I haven't managed to keep track!)—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. Even if you don't have the book for this month, you can order it from Assisi Institute now and have it within a couple of days.

The Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, so you can read all the comments that have gone on so far (including past authors in January and February!) and get a feel for what's happening. As you may know, in March, we are featuring a wonderful book from Jungian Analyst Dr. Michael Conforti, a specialist in archetypes and new sciences, "Field, Form, And Fate: Patterns in Mind, Nature, and Psyche."

In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link--and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder
