Hi Randall. Happy new year, and welcome to the online depth community. Sorry to be so slow--I'm just getting around to adding my rather belated greeting to Ed's. I remember sending children there when I was executive director of Noah's Ark Children's Village in Jeffersonville. I graduated from LPTS with MAs in MFT & Divinity before heading to Pacifica for the PhD. I was there as Honeycutt "left" and Mohler took over watching many of the women and some of the men transfer to LPTS. Curiously, while Mohler's people took control of SBTS, the heat at LPTS was about the recent conference that focused upon the feminine nature of God. Talk about two end so of the then present continuum.
Hope all is well with you. What keeps you busy these days?
I was at Louisville Presbyterian during the dismemberment of the old SBTS. I remember a thriving and respected social work program there but did not know of the psychology of religion path. My wife graduated from SBTS right before the rules changed and I took a few courses in 1988 while I was trying to decide whether seminary was my path or not. A Southern Baptist preacher friend of mine was aware of the changes coming and told me to go to LPTS for SBTS was about to change. I have never stopped thanking him for this advise.
