Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
I am a recently retired MFT and Ph. D. in clinical psychology. For the past twenty years I've had the support of colleagues but now I find that I am missing the dialog, like mindedness, and dialog I've always had and appreciated.
I am hoping to find others with interests in various psychologies and participate in discussions.
Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?

Welcome Renee,
With your past experience and training, I look forward to what you may desire to share within the blogs, forums, and groups. The wisdom of the gestalt welcomes all entries into conversation. I also understand your missing the lively exchange after its absence. Please enjoy the many conversations, I believe there are those who also share your desire for dialogue.

Hi Renee. Welcome to the Alliance. Once you have a chance to explore the Alliance a bit you'll find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all deeply drawn to the field of depth psychology.
While there are many Jungian analysts and clinicians here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, I trust you'll find opportunities to engage as you browse the vast content and interact with others. You may want to consider joining the online book club —There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. Even if you don't have the book for this month, you can read all the comments that have gone on so far and get a feel for it. February offers a wonderful new book from Jungian Analyst Erel Shalit as well as a special online study group on Astrology with long-time astrologer Kathleen Burt.
Meanwhile, I see you're in the Bay Area so you may want to join "Bay Area Hive" (under groups) to get updates and connect with people here. We're planning our first in-person meetup and speaker evening in Marin on March 23, so it should be a great opportunity to actually get some in-person connection. You can see more about the event in the Events section, too.
In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, please use the following link-- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site --and of course you know how to change your record to reflect your last name. Meanwhile, please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder
