  • Welcome Thomas,

Glad you found the Alliance and decided to join. I'm a bit jealous that you live in an area rich with possibilities such as the one mentioned by Bonnie. There are also so many topics within the blogs, forums, groups, book studies and interviews, I believe you will find much to your interests. Again, welcome and i look forward to your posts.

  • Hi Thomas. Welcome to the Alliance. I'm glad to see your long interest in Depth Psychology through the works of Robert Johnson and others. I know it's a long drive for you, but we have just set our first meetup and speaker evening in the SF Bay Area in March, so if you feel you can make the trip, it would be lovely to meet you in person. The speaker has a history at Pacifica and several of us who will attend do as well.

Meanwhile, hopefully once you have a chance to explore the Alliance a bit you'll find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all deeply drawn to the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinicians here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

On that note, I hope you're finding opportunities to engage as you browse the vast content and interact with others. You may want to consider joining the online book club if you haven’t already—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. Even if you don't have the book for this month, you can read all the comments that have gone on so far and get a feel for the story--or Feb. 1 will bring a wonderful new book from Jungian Analyst Erel Shalit (that is also focused on archetypes) as well as a special online study group on Astrology.
