Wael Al-Mahdi replied to Wael Al-Mahdi's discussion Hi Everyone
"I appreciate your understanding, Ed.  I've only ever bought one Jung book in Bahrain (aspects of the Feminine).  They're not available because no one asks for them.  The rest of my Jung books I bought from neighboring Dubai, where there is an…"

Wael Al-Mahdi replied to Wael Al-Mahdi's discussion Hi Everyone
"Bonnie, I should point out that the dearth of Jungian/depth influences in our region comes on the backdrop of a more general lack of interest in psychology in all its fields.  In many locations in the Arabic speaking world, therapists of any stripe…"

  • Thanks Wael. I look forward to hearing about how depth psych ideas show up in your neck of the woods--and about your general experience there in Bahrain. Feel free to post something in the forum if you have time--maybe just a paragraph introducing yourself...
  • You may want to check Pacifica Graduate Institute. I know they have just begun on-line courses. Not sure whether you can do the whole degree on-line. Here is their website: http://www.pacifica.edu/

I'll check around and see if I can find others.

  • Welcome Wael,

I had a friend just return from Bahrain. How accepting is the culture to Jungian understandings? Glad you joined the Alliance and I believe you will find much of interest here. I have looked into your website and enjoyed what I read there. There are many blogs, forums, and groups so I feel certain that there are a number of shared interests. Again, welcome.
