I have a strong Jungian influence in my work as an expressive arts therapist and mft. I look forward to growing within this orientation, and discovering new resources and community along the path.

Welcome Gena,
Glad you found and joined the Alliance. I have used sand-tray with abused children for several years and have several friends who are expressive therapists. What a rich way to connect with one's clients and oneself. The Alliance has many practitioners among its membership so I hope you will exchange thoughts and experiences with them in the near future. There is a sub-group for MFTs as well. You might want to check that out. Again, welcome and I look forward to your posts.

Hi Gena. Welcome to the Alliance. It's great to have you with us. As you may know, there is a growing number of students, alumni, and faculty from CIIS as well os other academic institutions here.
Once you have a chance to explore the online community a bit, I think you'll find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. Some simple ideas to get your feet wet are to introduce yourself in the forum; asking a question, or responding to someone else's post; or sharing a link to an article or web site you like.
You may want to consider joining the online book club if you haven’t already (so many have joined the past day or two I haven't managed to keep track!)—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. Even if you don't have the book for this month, you can order it from Assisi Institute now and have it within a couple of days.
The Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, so you can read all the comments that have gone on so far (including past authors in January and February!) and get a feel for what's happening. As you may know, in March, we are featuring a wonderful new book from Jungian Analyst Dr. Michael Conforti, a specialist in archetypes and new sciences, "Field, Form, And Fate: Patterns in Mind, Nature, and Psyche."
Last, I see you spend some time in the Bay Area. We are holding the first-ever local chapter meetup and speaker evening for the Alliance on March 23 in Marin, so if you happen to be in town and are interested in meeting other Alliance members and likeminded people for a great speaker on Jung, Crop Circles, and the Archetypal Feminine, maybe you can come.
