Liking these vids. I was thinking about Nietzche and how his idea of the "Superman" would relate to this. I find Nietzche illicits strong reactions in his philosophy, as does the ideas of personal power. I was just watching something about Ayne Rand and her being embraced by some in the republican party. She talked about individual power in the sense of self responsibility, but she seemed conflicted, in my own mind, to her own philosophy. She seemed to act contrary to her own beliefs. Also, like nietzche's ideas of power being twisted around, I feel that Anye Rands sense of self empowerment, though it may have been too strongly individuated at the cost of others, was taken even more in that direction.
