"  Thanks, Christian. I have some similar feelings on the wandering back and forth between the old and new home. I felt the old neighborhood part of the dream to be particularly potent. So much happened there that I have to let go of, and some seem…"

"Apologies for posting my dream question twice. It's a more extensive post, so I wasn't too sure whether to post it in the main discussion forum or the comment wall for themes and images for dreams. I'll gladly remove whichever double post I should…"

"Hello all. I hope I'm following the format correctly in posting a dream here for analysis. I've really dove into depth psychology over the past few months, and I believe its affected the content, if not the understanding of my dreams. I have a…"

"I was just looking at xtranormal. Looks cool! I'm excited to see what I could do with it for my poetry, and perhaps a bit, my music :) It'd be interesting if I could represent the archetypes in tarot ala the program. Tarot is one of the ways I've…"

"Are you planning to make any more of those vids? Where'd you get the models, or how do you create them, if I I may ask? It'd be interesting to see other archetypes represented someday, if you have those interactions with your archetypes to put…"

"I've just watched all your vids. I very much enjoyed them. A nice balance of information and entertainment, ala the animations :) I like the emphasis on confronting all of the darker archeypes that runs through the vids."

"Liking these vids. I was thinking about Nietzche and how his idea of the "Superman" would relate to this. I find Nietzche illicits strong reactions in his philosophy, as does the ideas of personal power. I was just watching something about Ayne Rand…"

"Watching and greatly enjoying this. I like the patchwork look to "The shadow" Appropriate imagery for the shadow, an assemblage of all our fears, repressed desires, etc. On a more purely aesthetic level, I enjoyed the medieval look of it."

  • Hi Robert

I do plan to make more videos when I get the time! I used  Xtranormal software which is available free as a basic version.

  • Thanks for the positive feedback. The animations are edited versions of actual dialogues with components of my shadow. I didn't make them up!

  • Hi Robert. Greetings, and welcome to the online depth psychology community. I'm glad you've found us.

Meanwhile, I apologize for the delay, but our system had flagged your request to join since you haven’t signed up with your first and last name. I know sometimes that happens because you joined under another identity like Google which didn't allow you to complete the full signup. If you would, please take a moment to go to your "Settings" in the upper right of the white part of the page and go in and enter your first and last name so we know how to address you. In this community, it's important to us that we can relate easily and engaging with real names is a significant piece of that.

Meanwhile, as you may know, we currently have over 1500 members from all over the world. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.

Also you may want to consider participating in the online book club: In August we're featuring Deep Blues: Human Soundscapes for the Archetypal Journey about Blue... with Dr. Mark Winborn. September will bring us "Out of the Shadows: A Story of Toni Wolff and Emma Jung" with Eliz.... Since the Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, you can participate at your own level and schedule.

In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link---- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site----and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community. ~Bonnie Bright, Founder
