  Glad to hear NC is alive and well, depth psychologically speaking. I spent a few years in Raleigh where my interaction with the Haden Institute drew me towards dreamwork. Very happy to hear that you have a cohort in NC as I am already going through the early stages of preparatory grief for the coming last days of my trips to Pacifica. Could very easily be seen as the motivation behind Jung in the South.

  First, about that photo thing, I have repeatedly followed all of the direx (and thanks for them), but in this group I still look like Jung. I have downloaded these photos without problem onto LinkedIn, Psych Today etc. and they are well within size limits. Can someone associated with the website itself help?

  To the comments about finding like-minded depth psych tribe in the South, here in Charlotte/Lake Norman area of NC we have a pretty vibrant Charlotte Friends of Jung chapter, though the meetings have coincided too often with Pacifica weekends for me in recent years. Also a handful of us Pacifica MA and PhD alums meet for lunch periodically, call ourselves "Atlantica". More challenging for me is finding kindred spirits among the CBT/insurance-driven practitioners here, who say things like "Jungian/depth psychotherapy? I didn't think anybody was doing THAT anymore." Clients are great, but cohorts would be, too. Visitors welcome -- it's beautiful on the lake in spring and summer!

  Ed, I hope to participate in the conference call, and thank you for setting that up. Reading some of the dialect here, I am wondering if this native Tar Heel is Southern enough for this group... do we need to talk like Paula Deen to participate?!

  Anthony, I hope you will be able to bring your experience and your subsequent insights to our conference call. My experience was similar to yours as my local Friends of Jung fizzled.

  I don't know, Adele... I'm a wee bit disappointed :-( as I thought you actually looked like Jung...

  I was a member of the Nashville Jung Society back in the day (late 80s and early 90s). As best I remember there were some, but not many, trained Jungian professionals involved in the group (I'm not)... what started up the group was that some "mysterious donor" had endowed an unknown (to me) amount of money to establish and fund a Jung Society.

  For several years we met regularly, bringing in fairly well known speakers for lectures and seminars. It was an awesome time. I guess all along those in leadership were subsidizing the costs of the seminars with the original endowment to keep prices affordable.  Eventually the money ran out and then efforts were originally made to keep meeting... and then I'm not sure exactly when or how it ended... oh well...
