Finding Your Way Home
This three-day workshop explores Jung’s theme of individuation as a process of homecoming. Using music, film, story, photography, drawing, movement and poetry to shape a space of reverie, we will examine the role of dreams, symptoms, fantasies, and creative journaling as ways of attending to those moments and occasions in life when we are called to follow the law of our own being, when we are presented with the possibility of re-collecting our circumstances as a vocation, of re-membering our heritage as a destiny. Together we will engage in a journey whose steps include slowing down, learning to linger in the moment and adopting an attitude of hospitality, all of which turn us towards and invite us to be addressed by what has been left by the side of the road. In this backward glance, we meet once again those who wait and have waited for us with the unfinished business of our lives. The goal of this workshop is to make a space for that moment of encounter within which each participant can create a beginning narrative of homecoming.
Comments
I am looking truly looking forward to being on Ladera Campus and attending this event. And,
I am also looking forward to a little quiet time to talk with Robert whom I've never met. So I'd like to third Bonnie's comments and will be sure to share something of my own memories of this time with you, Ed and others here.
Stephanie,
Would enjoy hearing your perspective after the event and want to "second" Bonnie's comments below.
