The central focus of Jungian psychology has always been individual transformation. However, for Jung, such transformations are never a solitary experience. We grow up and mature in groups – the family – and these early group experiences prepare us for our later encounters with romantic partners, collegial partners, and our work in the dynamic give-and-take of any number of other social groups. According to Carl Jung, it is through these interactions that we mature and potentially transform our lives.

As he has said, “The unrelated human being lacks wholeness, for [one] can achieve wholeness only through the soul, and the soul cannot exist without its other side, which is always found in [relation to another]” (Jung, par. 454).

Join us this Saturday, March 29th, 1:00pm Pacific time (4:00pm Eastern) for this free, live, one hour class on Relationships and Transformation from a Jungian perspective. Click here to register. If you are unable to attend live, we’ll send you a link to the video recording after the event.

This class is a free introduction to the upcoming, eight week college-level course on Jung and Relationships, led by Dr. James Newell, director of the Depth Psychology Alliance and the Depth Psychology Academy. In this course we’ll engage in an in depth study of Jung’s ideas on relationship, bringing his ideas into conversation with ideas from the contemporary study of family systems, attachment theory, and much more.
