The International Women's Earth & Climate Summit will take place on September 20 – 23, 2013 in New York. The Summit will bring together 100 global women leaders including grassroots activists, economists, scientists, businesswomen, Indigenous leaders, policy-makers, faith leaders, culture shapers for 3.5 days to help further a women’s climate action agenda. Although this is an invitation only summit at the New York site for 100 women, we welcome and need women of the world to engage with us!

The participation of women around the world – including you and your friends and colleagues - via live streaming and online interaction is key to the success of the summit.

How you can participate online:

Before the Summit:

  1. Contribute to the Online Solutions Forum and Eight Working Groups in Preparation for the Summit Agenda
A dynamic Online Solutions Forum will open on International Women’s Day March 8th, 2013. Share your ideas, projects, stories, studies, videos, needs, good practices, recommendations, and innovative solutions and strategies. Your voice and expertise are critical and will be incorporated into the Summit Action Plans and Agenda.
  2. During the Summit:
    • Join the IWECI Women's Summit wherever you are via interactive live-streaming during the plenary sessions. You will be able to interact directly online and dialogue with the women leaders at the Summit.
    • Organize a “IWECI Summit Vision Hub” event in your community – gathering women and men together to listen to the plenary sessions and give feedback during the Summit’s live web-streaming sessions.
  3. After the Summit:
Stay in touch with IWECI and continue networking and contributing to the ongoing Online Solutions Forum. You can also join on our mailing list and keep track of our website to help us implement the Action Plans derived from our collaborative deliberations and consultations before and during the Summit. Signup for updates.

Following the Summit, Outcome Documents and an Action Agenda will be used for international strategic planning, advocacy and unified actions.  We will present our outcomes to everyone from grassroots leaders to Heads of State; from local governments to UN meetings (connecting to the post 2015 Agenda, UNFCCC), from neighborhood gatherings to international conferences such as the Clinton Global Initiative. Let your voices be heard!

TOGETHER LET’S STRENGTHEN OUR MOVEMENT FOR
