Shadow Tech - Cracking the Codes of Personal and Collective Darkness
Along with my partner Melissa Mari, I've published this book. The contents came to us as we engaged in shadow work within the container of our relationship. A number of concepts in the book had been brewing in me for several years, but only after we came together did they manifest as a coherent map. The map that began to appear was comprised of several concepts that fit together to help us understand "the destructive force in the universe" and how it manifests in the psyche and culture. Of…

My latest article: A Somatic Perspective on the Trauma of Growing up Gay by Payam Ghas...
Since the beginning of this century we have been combatants, willing or otherwise, in what is called the “War on Obesity”. On a daily basis in advertising, articles in the press, research reports, and emerging health policies and recommendations, we are exposed to a steady drumbeat of messages about the costs, dangers, both personal and social, and undesirability of obesity. All of this is accompanied by repeated calls for fat people to be made thin by any of a variety of methods from diet to shaming to exercise to surgery.
In all the noise surrounding us there is one group denied a voice – fat people themselves. The Fat Lady Sings brings that voice into the mix, the voice of a fat woman who is also a psychologist and psychotherapist.
In addition to giving voice to the lived experience of being fat in a time when fat is seen as ugly, indicative of sloth and gluttony, this book is also a look at fat and our culture, about the fat complex our culture is gripped by and how to respond to it. It grows out of the author’s life as a fat woman, her work as a Jungian psychotherapist, and her experience as a patient in analysis. Rooted in analytical psychology, it challenges the notion that it is the fat patient who must be changed to fit into a thin world.
SCREAMING AT THE VOID – An Expedition Into the Heart of a Contemporary Poet
Depth Of View Publishing published Screaming At The Void in 2015. It is a book that breaks down the layer of symbolic meaning woven into the images and sentiments of a poet, and in so doing, displays for all to see the sublime dance between the cognitive mind and the unconscious mind. This book also underlines the need in our species to assay the symbolism of our life, by analytically uncovering the marvelous insight into the poet’s Bi Polar 2 disorder generated by the Poet’s unconscious mind in her poetry.
The Publisher, John Brusseau, utilizes his own Depth Psychological Approach, The Conductive Reasoning Approach to Therapy, to analyze the writing of Erica Loberg, a gifted confessional poet. The Conductive Reasoning Approach essentially works off the premise that the unconscious mind should set the agenda for the psyche’s development and healing, and not the cognitive mind. Screaming At the Void illustrates the value of this approach beautifully.
congratulations to all prolific writers!
Upcoming on shrink rap radio is an interview with Nancy Furlotti on the Jung Neumann Correspondence (the subject of a recent conference), and some of the forthcoming books pertinent to that subject: Erich Neumann: Jacob and Esau - on the collective symbolism of the brother motif (Chiron, Oct 2015); Turbulent times, creative minds - Erich Neumann and CG Jung in relationship (eds. Erel Shalit and Murray Stein).
Also, I am pleased that in the recent issue of Spring on Eranos, there is a comprehensive review of five of my books, excellently written by Steve Zemmelman.
It's so wonderful to see all of your books. What a great group! I've been involved with integrating depth psychology with various disciplines over the last three decades or so:
(1) In the 1980's I developed the Mythic Journey Process which integrated Gendlin's Focusing with Archetypal Psychology; in the 1990's I added Tai Chi/Qigong to this process to integrate movement. This process has appeared in three of my publications. (2) The Mystery of Personal Identity (1983) was the first book to integrate astrology with depth psychotherapy and introduce a hermeneutic perspective to astrology. It was just updated in 2012. (3) Trials of the Heart: Healing the Wounds of Intimacy (1993) includes a depth psychology perspective on couples therapy, and shows how relationship is a rite of initiation through the elements of fire earth, air, and water. (4). Bodymind Healing Psychotherapy:Ancient Pathways to Modern Health (2007) was the first book to integrate Qigong with depth psychotherapy (5) Energy Psychology: Self Healing Methods for Bodymind Health (North Atlantic/Random House 2009), expanded the field of energy psychology to include depth psychotherapy. (6) The Path of the Reluctant Metaphysician: Stories and Practices for ...(2012), is the synthesis of my integration of depth psychology, astrology, Qigong/Tai Chi, and metaphysics. It just won a Ben Franklin Award in the Body, Mind & Spirit category. www.bodymindhealing.com, www.reluctantmetaphysician.com.

The Individuation of God:Integrating Science and Religion
Todd argues for the integration of science and religion to form a new paradigm for the third millennium. He counters both the arguments made by fundamentalist Christians against science and the rejection of religion by the New Atheists, in particular Richard Dawkins and his followers. Drawing on the work of scientists, psychologists, philosophers, and theologians, Todd challenges the materialistic reductionism of our age and offers an alternative grounded in the visionary work taking place in a wide array of disciplines.
