  • Like yourself, I am a new member here.  It is a good place to come when one is "curious."  My hope is that I discover more of the questions that I need to live through listening to others and having others resonate in some way to what I have to say.  It is interesting to look at the ripples of affect that come out of connection.  Welcome. :)
  • Welcome Ann,

I'm always happy to see someone from the UK join us. My sister lives in Somerset, though I have not had a chance to visit there yet. I agree with Bonnie, curiosity is the core motivation that sustains such a life of depth. I look forward to your posts.

  • HI Ann. So glad to have in the Depth Psych community! "Curious" is the ideal approach to Depth Psychology. Rather than set answers, everything in Depth Psychology seems to lead to another question. It is truly an inquiry--and I think that is my favorite thing about it. Jung often referred to how ideas, beliefs, and values get "fixed"--leading to fixations and ruts. Even religion and the concept of God has become fixed enough, according to Jung, that it is quite dead, requiring a new and living myth to help us out of the rut humanity and civilization seems to find ourselves in. So glad you're here, and I hope you find a number of new and exciting things to think about on the site. Feel free to jump in and ask questions or make observations as well!
