Ann,
Great to hear from land of Sippy, home of big winged birds, and resting place for Grandfather Spirit to drink from the waters!
Also exciting to hear the not of enthusiasm your students express when the subject turns to depth and Jung. I'm not surprised. But great to hear that confirmation of this work sparking that kind of energy and curiosity.
Blessed be your days.

Greetings Ann and welcome to the Depth Psychology Alliance. So glad that you have found us. I hope that our community supports, inspires, and expands your work with depth psychology. So many Australians coming through this site these days. And...Sippy Downs, I have never heard of before, I like it! Sippy is a nickname that I have had since youth, derivative of my last name, and my boys have now inherited that nickname also. I will have to tell them something about your home.
We currently have over 3600 members from all over the world! As you explore our community, I hope you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who I believe are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. The Depth Psychology Alliance is proud that our members come from many walks of life--artists, clinicians, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc.--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience to be shared in our community.
We recommend that to get started, you personalize your profile photo by going to your "My page" and rolling your cursor over the default C.G. Jung image. This gives you the option to switch it to a personal picture. As well, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to another member's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.
Here are a few quick links to front page items that may be of interest to you. The Fall 2014 Depth Insights e-zine is out containing articles, poetry, cartoons and artwork and you can access all of the past issues, too. The Multimedia Library contains talks, videos and articles that may be of interest to you. And, the Depth Psychology Alliance Events page contains calls for papers, upcoming conferences, and workshops.
You can also weigh in on the weekly depth discussions by clicking the image and quote at the top of the home page. And here's a link to help you navigate the site for your convenience.
Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you around the community.
Best Regards,
Mark Sipowicz, Board Member
