"BB King was recently taken to the hospital for what turned out to be a minor heart attack. It made the front page of paper here in Salt Lake. He's since returned to home hospice care. There was a kurfuffle between his daughter and his manager who…"

"Bonnie,
Thanks for following up with Robbie. The next section is 'The How and When of Salting'. I assumed we were following the same pattern of one section per discussion and read this section."

"Hi Charlene,
It's a bit too cold for swimming, but I did drive out to the Bonneville Speedway where cars are raced in the summer on the salt flats. The salt was in aqueous solution looking like light gray mud. I had a full body recoil reaction to…"

"Yes! Pollan's book 'Cooked: The Natural History History of Transformation' is a great accompaniment to our alchemical reading. Last summer, I began reading 'Cooked' one transformation at a time and working with each transformation. I got stuck on…"

"I'm liking the webex format for the class. There's something enticingly subversive about it. The subversiveness feels appropriate for alchemical discussions."

"Yes, I'm from Salt Lake. I live in East Millcreek. From our house, we saw the smoke billowing from the 5th & 5th fire. It must have been a grand fire to watch! Horrible and absolutely awesome. That's a great description. The fire must have been…"

  • Greetings Becky and welcome to the online depth psychology community. It's great you've found us! The Depth Psychology Alliance is in the early planning stages of Depth Psychology Alliance Conference and we would love your input. Click here to answer four short questions. (I am so intrigued in what ways you are using physics and electrical engineering with Depth Psychology and Mythology. I see so many ways they might ebb and flow together and I think Hillman would have been delighted to converse with you on the ways you find ways they merge and diverge).

As you may know, we currently have over 3000 members from all over the world. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

We recommend that to get started, you personalize your profile photo by going to your "My page" and rolling your cursor over the default C.G. Jung image. That will give you the option to switch it to a person picture. As well, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to another member's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.

Here's a link to the In-depth Course on Alchemy: Embodying James Hillman’s Alchemical Ps..., co-organized by the Depth Alliance. In case you missed Mythic Activism with Alliance board member and Terrapsychologist, Craig Chalquist it is still available for you. And here's a link to help you navigate the site for your convenience.

You can also weigh in on the weekly depth discussions by clicking the image and quote at the top of the home page.

Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you around the community.
