Cindy Reynolds replied to Dr. Michael Conforti's discussion 3-MARCH: Field, Form, and Fate: Patterns in Mind, Nature, and Psyche with Dr Michael Conforti in ARCHIVED-Book Club 2012-2013
"I too would like to understand the dynamic that comes forward in that type of woman.  I have seen this in my practice also.   I will have the book on Monday and look forward to a "rich" read."

"Thank you for the warm welcome Ed.  Our group meets for lunch monthly in a restaurant which gives us a small room so we can share with one another privately.  Sometimes we discuss books.  Movies are the topic at times too.  Once we went on a weekend…"

  • Welcome Cindy,

Glad you found and decided to join the Alliance. Your group meeting interests me as to the format of the group. Also, it would be interesting to hear what writings you and your group have found most interesting (a book report? :) ) Again, welcome and I look forward to your posts.

  • Hi Cindy. Welcome to the Alliance. So glad you've joined us here in virtual community and I'm so happy to hear about your monthly group meetings in the real world.

Hopefully, once you have a chance to explore the online community a bit, you'll find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all fascinated by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. Some simple ideas to get your feet wet are to introduce yourself in the forum; asking a question, or responding to someone else's post; or sharing a link to an article or web site you like.

You may want to consider joining the online book club if you haven’t already—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. Even if you don't have the book for this month, it's all done via writing in an open forum, so you can read all the comments that have gone on so far and get a feel for what's happening. In February, we are featuring a wonderful new book from Jungian Analyst Erel Shalit," The Cycle of Life", as well as a special online study group on Astrology with longtime astrologer Kathleen Burt. March will bring a new book from Dr. Michael Conforti, a specialist in archetypes and new sciences, "Field, Form, And Fate".

Last, I know it's far for you, but we are holding the first-ever local chapter meetup and speaker evening for the Alliance on March 23 in Marin County north of San Francisco, so if you--or your group even--are interested in meeting other Alliance members and likeminded people for a great speaker on Jung, Crop Circles, and the Archetypal Feminine, maybe you could come together. More details here in case your'e interested:  http://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/event?llr=l548rqeab&...

In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link--and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder
