Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
What draws me is the immense benefit I have gained personally and seen in other's lives from delvng deep into oneself, and sometimes too in "diving deep" into things while in dialogue with others. Trustworthy behaviorial change - and not just in the therapeutic sense - comes after inner change, in my opinion, and the benefits I expect here are mostly along the lines of an exchange of insights. Other topics: music, by itself and in combo with movement & dance, art, etc.
Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?
No professional groups, currently - but I am invorated by my association with The DuVersity (founders Anthony Blake and Karen Stefano), as well as an open and open-minded local church, the West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship here in Portland.

Welcome David,
I've been immersed in your music on your website. Wonderful. I have used it as part of my active imagining for a few written works. For me, music is the true universal language. Glad you have joined the Alliance and I look forward to your posts and more of your musical works.

Hi David. Welcome to the Alliance. Nice to have you here. Indeed, I think once you have a chance to explore here a bit, you'll find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology and the possibility to engage in dialogue about critical topics. And, while there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, I hope you'll find opportunities to engage as you browse the vast content and interact with others. You may want to consider joining the online book club if you haven’t already—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish.
Even if you don't have the book for this month, it's all done via writing in an open forum, so you can read all the comments that have gone on so far and get a feel for what's happening. In February, we are featuring a wonderful new book from Jungian Analyst Erel Shalit," The Cycle of Life", as well as a special online study group on Astrology with longtime astrologer Kathleen Burt. March will bring a new book from Dr. Michael Conforti, a specialist in archetypes and new sciences, "Field, Form, And Fate".
In case you need detailed help navigating the site, you can use the following link--and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder
