"Bonnie and all, I've written 6 (!!!) complete concept papers. Have changed my topic so many times I've lost track. Finally, only 2 months ago, I stopped trying to flesh out the "opus" and started to look for the commonalities between those many…"

"On "basic" and "prior"-ities...so entirely true, which is exactly how I found the words I was not saying. Return to the heart of the matter, which for me is exactly that: the heart (and soul) of matter...the earth, elements, experience and response.…"

"Jeanne's right, Robin. Welcome! I'm in your boat after a whole year of trying to figure out what it was I was not saying! ha! Finally on my way with words bring written, or, to keep with the metaphor, steps to the dance being choreographed."

"My kudos goes to Mark Kelly, Reference Librarian at Pacifica. In a small conversation about subjectivity and the non-human "subject," he helped me take my Diss. research from being the keen-but-hovering action of the White-tailed Kite, to his/her…"

"In keeping with the baby metaphor...my embryonic dissertation began to kick last week. Have written not a single word for months, and now, for whatever reason, it seems DNA is being formed, cells merging, replicating, finding their rightful places.…"

"So I guess I'll chime in with two dissertation queries for contemplation and opinion... Jeanne, how did you control the size of your work? By that I mean when the ideas are coming fast and furious, how do you temper the scope of your project? I'm…"

"Thanks so much for this forum, Jeanne. Four topic ideas later, I'm hand-fasted to an idea that asks, no demands, in a way only a lover has the right to do, that I become who I already am! And so it's through these words that I'm now hand-fasted...…"

  • Hey, its great to "see" you, Gabrielle! Better late than never. I've hardly had a spare moment to look at the site myself, with comps and paper due, fieldwork proposal barely in, and I just left for Fieldwork and will be busy with it most of the summer without much access to internet. Let's definitely stay in touch. I'm sure we'll have more time in the future to talk live. Good luck yourself, and see you soon!
  • Hi Gabrielle. It was so great to meet you at the ICC conference. I am grateful for the time we had at breakfast--and wish we could have had a little more. I hope we will stay in touch and have a chance to connect more..even if its only virtually for the time being! All the best in your dissertation work and prep for Cornell.
  • Hi Gabrielle. Welcome to the online Depth Psych community. So glad to have you hear. Its great to "meet" fellow Pacificans in the virtual world since it doesn't often happen in "real life". Hope you enjoy the site!
