Hilda Reilly replied to J.D.Stephen Flynn's discussion Dreams and Fairy Tales and their application to Psychotherapy
"Has anyone read the fairy stories by Bertha Pappenheim (the Anna O of Studies in Hysteria)? I haven’t found any significant mention of them in all the material that has been produced about her. Perhaps this is because she is associated with Freud…"

Hilda Reilly replied to J.D.Stephen Flynn's discussion Dreams and Fairy Tales and their application to Psychotherapy

  • Greetings Hilda and welcome to the online depth psychology community. I'm really glad you've joined us

Meanwhile, as you may know, we currently have over 2000 members from all over the world and we're growing. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from various walks of life including artists, writers, doctors, scientists, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, please take a moment and introduce yourself in the Forum and let the community know what brings you here or what your background is. Also, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. {lease feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like. You can also "like" others' posts using the "thumbs up" button.
Finally, as you may be aware, the January online book club featuring  "The War of the Gods in Addiction" with David E. Schoen also includes a free 4-week teleseminar Wednesdays in January--though you can listen to the archived version and join any week. Since the online part of the Book Club is done via writing in an open forum, you can participate at your own level and schedule--and you can join the discussion anytime, even if you don't have the book. Also in January we've just launched a special study group on the Red Book with Robert Bosnak which you can join anytime if you wish.
In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link----http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site---- and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all!

I look forward to seeing you around the community.

    Best Regards--
    Mark Sipowicz, Board Member
