Individual
What are your main areas of interest?
All Topics, Jungian Psychology, Art or Art Therapy, Shamanism
If you are signing up as an Individual Member, do you have a degree in Depth Psychology?
No
If so, from what institution?
I've studied Jungian psychotherapy by a leaning-analysis from about 10+ years.
I've been a member of the board of our local Jungian association for some years.
And I followed divers courses in Jungian theories.
Unfortunately I was not able to go to Jungian therapist training, since there is none in my country. So I made up my own trajectory.
Are you a licensed or clinical therapist?
I work as a private non-licensed Jungian therapist and energy healer.
Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?

Psychologist
The psychological development a person goes through in his/her life is of great interest to me. In particular, Carl Jung’s perspective on the individuation process, to become one’s “true self,” serves as a guide in my work.
So I started as a teacher at a private school for state exams. Passing exams is a true initiation into adulthood. I continued my career in education as an educational developer and manager in democratic education.
Own practice
Between the age of 40 and 50, I worked as a Jungian psychotherapist at my own practice. At the same time, I pursued further studies for shamanistic energy healer. I added this form of therapy to the practice. Helping people break free from old pain and trauma was central to my work. Taoism is the Chinese philosophy I feel most at home. A way of thinking about life and at the same time rooted in shamanism.
Qigong & Tai Chi
For over 20 years I have practiced various styles of Qigong & Tai Chi. Wisdom Qigong, Taoist Qigong, Wudan Qigong and Wudan Tai Chi. I see practicing Qigong and Tai Chi as training to improve physical health and come to your “true self,” the path of individuation.
Passing on the ancient knowledge of Qigong & Tai Chi, giving Tarot consultations and healings is currently my work. When I’m not working I study Chinese medicine and I create art & text.

Karina,
Bonnie, the founder of Depth Psychology Alliance, gave me your name. I live in Amsterdam. I did my Ph.D. in Mythological Studies/Depth Psychology eleven years ago. I have also done courses with Marion Woodman, Stan Grof and others. Although I have a lot of contacts in the US, I would love to know some people in Amsterdam who share the same Depth interests.

Welcome Karina,
Fascinating that you use Jungian psychology with school refusal related problems. I was a school counselor for a number of years before my interest in Jungian psychology took wing. I'm interested in how you use Jungian theory and practice and apply it to school refusal. Also, was a student of Buddhism and Taoism (still an avid reader) so your eastern philosophical approach is also interesting. How prevalent is support for eastern philosophy in the Netherlands?
