  • Good Morning Lila,

It has been over a month now since our last contact, but as you wrote writing your dissertation is a full time position, I did not want to disturb you.

How are you doing on your dissertation ?
I hope that while you are writing you are experiencing much unexpected insights that will help you to get a better insight and understanding and therefore becomes more satisfying.

Personally I am convinced of the presence, as you call it the “numinous third” – as the whole creation is connected by /with unseen Forces, but the fact that we can’t see them with our eyes doesn’t mean that they don’t exist.
In my opinion we as humans are still in the Stone Age in experiencing and discovering these Forces – but thanks to Jung we are able to move forward.

The Lecture 6 that we are now in, must be fascinating for you, because in this Lecture Jung start in mentioning the LOGOS and WORDS.
As your professional focus is on psychological resistance within the body mind and how matter and psyche mirror its effects – this is a good starting point to research, because in a very broad view, the LOGOS and EROS have incarnated in all creations.

And then the WORDS that you are so busy to use in your dissertation, fascinating don’t you think ?

Do you like us becoming Friends ?

I wish you a fruitful writing and a wonderful “sunny” , day – at least that’s what comes up in my imagination when reading the word California – Ric.

  • Hi Lila,

As a fellow student of the course I welcome you.

I think that joining the study group of the Red Book, possibly can supply you with a lot of interesting new information that can broaden your view on the issues of your interest – at least that is what it is for me .

I wish you a fine Sunday, with feeling of Harmony – Ric Brijl.

  • Welcome Lila,

And fellow Pacifica-ite. What is the focus of your work at PGI? There are many topics among the blogs, forums, groups, and book studies (if you have the time  :)  ). I believe you will find much to your interests. Again, welcome and I look forward to your posts.

  • Greetings, Lila. Welcome to the Alliance, and so glad you've found us here. As you may know, there are many Pacifica students, faculty, and alumni here--including myself--so you're in good company.

I hope as you explore the community a bit you are finding a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. Some ideas for getting started are to post a topic for discussion in the Forum, to respond to someone else's post, or to share a link to an article or web site you like. You can also post a few paragraphs of your own blog (if you have one) in the Blogs section and put a link so people can go to your site and read the rest.

Also, you may want to consider joining the online book club—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. The Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, so you can read all the comments that have gone on so far  and get a feel for what's happening. As you may know, in April, we are featuring a wonderful book from Jungian Analyst Ken Kimmel: "Eros and the Shattering Gaze: Transcending Narcissism"

In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link-- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site--and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder
