Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
My name is Andrew Camargo. I have been studying Archetypal Shamanism, Entheogenic Spirituality, Alchemy, Jungian Psychology, and Mythology for the past 14 years. I earned my B.A. from Yale University in 2002 studying Literature and Psychoanalysis, when I was introduced to Jung’s work and began studying the mysterious Art of Alchemy. In 2009 I earned my M.A. from the Pacifica Graduate Institute studying Jungian Psychology and Mythology. Since 2008 I have participated in and extensively journaled over 400 entheogenic (psychedelics used in sacred ceremonial context) ceremonies, travelling to several spiritual communities throughout Brazil, Peru, Canada, and the United States. Throughout my entheogenic studies, I realized that the art of spiritual Alchemy was Western civilization’s own version of shamanic wisdom, and as such, it had something very unique and valuable to offer the modern seeker – provided its arcane symbolic language was decoded. So I embarked on a sustained effort to decode the magical connection between Esoteric Alchemy and Entheogenic Shamanism. It worked, and I put my findings into the School of Modern Soul Science.

Greetings Andrew and School of Modern Soul Scinece and welcome to the Alliance! I hope you will find it a place of support, community and nourishment of your many depth psychological pursuits and interests.
We are an international community of over 4,500 members from all walks of life, all sharing interest and experience working with the unconscious, dreams, the archetypal realm, and the many other branches and roots of our field of inquiry. There is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared and explored. We hope you will dive in and share some of your experience, your questions and your reflections.

And finally, fellow board member Donna May and I will be hosting an online Deep Meet and Greet to welcome you and other new members to the Alliance. It would be great to see you there and get to know you a bit more at that time. The next Deep Meet n Greet is Thursday, May 26 at 5PM PDT.
