Skye Burn commented on Depth Alliance's blog post "Looking for Caesar" by Jeffrey T. Kiehl
"Jeff, I agree and resonate deeply with the need for "soulful approaches for working with our highly fragmented world." I believe that deep soul work can be a form of social activism when, and if, the principles and practices inform interventions in…"

Skye Burn replied to Bonnie Bright's discussion U.S. Election: Holding the Tension of Loss and Despair
"Picking up where I left off...I think each of us has a different understanding of what is most basic. To me, what is most basic is that we, as individuals, constitute parts of humanity. As Neumann noted, we are parts of a self-organizing organism.…"

Skye Burn replied to Bonnie Bright's discussion U.S. Election: Holding the Tension of Loss and Despair
"Bonnie, thank you for posting the piece by Jeremy Taylor. I appreciate his insight that the "hidden content" of the activated shadow archetype unleashes creativity, as well as his encouraging observation that the ascendency of Trump is "granting…"

Skye Burn replied to Bonnie Bright's discussion U.S. Election: Holding the Tension of Loss and Despair
"Linda, I appreciate the reminder of the magical child within. For me child abuse, among other human rights abuses and crimes against humanity, is the most soul shattering and poignant representation of humanity's overall self-abuse. What healing…"

  • Greetings Skye and welcome to the Depth Psychology Alliance. I am pleased you chose to join our wonderful online community!

We currently have over 4,000 members from all over the world! As you explore our community, I hope you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who I believe are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. The Depth Psychology Alliance is proud that our members come from many walks of life--artists, clinicians, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc.--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience to be shared in our community.

We recommend that to get started, you personalize your profile photo by going to your "My page" and rolling your cursor over the default C.G. Jung image. This gives you the option to switch it to a personal picture or to a picture of an object of your choosing (I personally find all the pictures of Jung to be boring!)  As well, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to another member's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.

There is an exciting new series "Dinner and Depth" that is offered each week by the Alliance with a new author/artist/practitioner every time. The Multimedia Library contains talks, videos and articles that may be of interest to you.  And, the Depth Psychology Alliance Events page contains calls for papers, upcoming conferences, and workshops.

You can also weigh in on the weekly depth discussions by clicking the image and quote at the top of the home page. And here's a link to help you navigate the site for your convenience.

Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you around the community.

    Jesse Masterson, M.S., M.A., M.Div., and

Doctoral Candidate in Depth Psychology: Community Psychology, Liberation Psychology, and Ecopsychology
